The year in world politics was mired with dreadful terrorist attacks; tragic stories of ordinary people, who have had respectable lives, drowning in open seas while fleeing war; half-kept promises of asylum; and statespeople prioritizing influence over human loss.
Shall 2016 be the year this bleak picture becomes more hopeful!
